Why does URL to PDF require server processing?

Converting a webpage to PDF requires a headless browser to fully render JavaScript, load external resources, and capture the page accurately. This cannot be done within a client-side browser sandbox.

Is there a free alternative?

Yes — use your browser's print function (Ctrl/Cmd+P) and select 'Save as PDF'. This works well for most static pages but may miss dynamically loaded content.

Will this feature be available in the future?

Yes, we plan to add server-side tools like URL to PDF in a future update. Use the feedback button to let us know this matters to you.

Can I convert password-protected pages?

Pages behind a login or paywall cannot be converted because the server would need your credentials to access them.

What about long scrolling pages?

When available, full-page capture will handle long scrolling pages by stitching the content into a multi-page PDF.
